It has been non-stop lately. The days before the holidays are coming to an end, which means the projects need to be done as well. Here are some photos from the 16 hour days in the studio lately.

Fall is one of my favourite seasons. I love the way the light hits the changing leaves, the smell in the air. I love when the air feels cool the fireplace is on and I am curled up in my white duvet. Fall brings summer to an official end, like a season of our lives evolving into the next series of lessons to be learned. Life can feel like nothing is moving forward sometimes, the slight changes in nature can offer some kind of reassurance that things are moving. Even if it is the slightest change. Here are some images from our recent stay at Langdon Hall. It was beautiful.

MIMI has opened in Toronto. CKD’s newest bespoke work. I love the look of the hand painted white lotus looks up against the black ground. Came out beautiful.

Home from Europe and hit the ground running. So much happening in CKD land. just wanted to say hi!

Sicily was last minute and the best decision we made. I have never been to a place quite like it. The overlapping history of the Greeks, Arabian sultans, the Spanish, the Normans before Sicily united with Italy. One minute I was in Morocco and the next I was in Italy. Ashley and I had the best time. I felt like I was a kid again running around the streets eating all the pasta and drinking all the wine. Hard to be back in the studio, but equally really happy to be back in the studio - lots of work to do! x C

It takes one person to believe in your vision. Steven Salm was one of the first to understand the power of bespoke textile. We’ve been collaborating on Planta’s bespoke prints since the beginning. For each new opening we designed new unique prints, pushing the boundaries of what the evolution of Planta could look like through the wallpaper. I love this print for Planta’s West Palm Beach location. It was really fun to create with both Steven and iCrave.
Last night I accepted an award for my 23 year old self who kept moving forward when nothing made sense. It took a lot of hard work to prove the bespoke concept could be successful, and I feel so lucky to be aligned with designers and clients who keep this moving and allow me to be creative and have fun!
